Techint Engineering & Construction, a global contractor with 19,500 employees and more than 70 years’ experience, faced an urgent risk: a full terabyte of critical engineering documents was stored in Autodesk ProductStream running on Windows Server 2003, both soon to be unsupported. The company needed a fast, secure, compliant archiving solution to preserve vital historical data and ensure continued access.

After a Proof of Concept, Techint deployed OpenText InfoArchive in just 25 days, migrating 1 TB to a single centralized server and decommissioning the Autodesk application and 49 legacy servers. The result: role-based, highly secure storage; instant, user-friendly search and retrieval; significantly lower TCO and maintenance overhead; and a scalable platform being considered for global rollout.
