Case Study: PwC Brazil reduces total cost of ownership and boosts cyber resilience with OpenText

A OpenText Case Study

Preview of the PwC Case Study

Strategic alliance with Micro Focus CyberRes lowers total cost of ownership for PwC clients while enhancing cyber resilience.

PwC Brazil, a network of roughly 4,000 professionals across 15 offices, faced rising cybersecurity and privacy challenges as Brazil’s LGPD came into effect and the COVID‑19 pandemic expanded attack surfaces (mobile, cloud) and exposed low maturity in many organizations—especially in healthcare, where clients lacked infrastructure to protect systems and data. These pressures drove PwC to build a Security Operations Center (SOC) and partner with key vendors to meet regulatory and operational needs.

Through a strategic alliance with Micro Focus CyberRes, PwC Brazil deployed a flexible, managed SOC using ArcSight ESM and Logger, Fortify Static Code Analyzer and LoadRunner Professional, combined with train‑the‑trainer enablement and adaptable licensing. The solution improved real‑time threat detection and incident response, reduced total cost of ownership via superior data compression, supported LGPD compliance and local language training, and enabled rapid recovery from attacks while creating opportunities to expand into data discovery and masking.
