STA Travel Enriches Its Customer Offering With Help From IBM and OpenText

STA Travel, the world’s largest student and youth travel organisation with roughly six million customers across 16 localised websites, needed a cost-effective way to present a consistent, high-quality global online presence. With functionality varying by country, frequent content changes (deals and flight availability), and a young, tech‑savvy audience to serve, the company struggled to control content and deliver leading-edge features across sites.

Working with IBM and OpenText, STA implemented a central platform based on OpenText Web Site Management Server and Delivery Server, using a master project and Translation Editor to enable rapid, localised rollouts. The solution sped deployment to 13 countries, saved two–three months of development work, made content updates quick and manageable by non‑technical staff, improved navigation and online conversion rates, and delivered consistent branding and increased agility worldwide.
