Hamm Reno Group, a more than 120‑year‑old European shoe retailer with about 6,000 employees, ~550 stores and €650M in revenue, faced slow, paper‑based real estate processes: roughly 80,000 pages of property documents were stored in two archives, making cross‑site access, audits and disaster protection inefficient and risky.

Working with partner AXXEDO, Reno implemented OpenText Document Access for SAP Solutions (complemented by OpenText Email Archiving), enabling full‑text search and location‑independent access to complete digital files. The change cut retrieval time from days to minutes, improved productivity, ensured audit compliance and disaster recovery (operations restorable within a week), and is being extended to contract management and other departments.
