Case Study: TDK-Micronas achieves secure, high-performance remote engineering and continued innovation with OpenText Exceed TurboX

A OpenText Case Study

Preview of the TDK-Micronas Case Study

Semiconductor developer successfully adapts to the ‘new normal’ with high-performance, secure remote access

TDK‑Micronas, part of TDK’s Sensor Systems business, designs and manufactures sensor and embedded motor‑control solutions for automotive and industrial markets. When COVID‑19 lockdowns prevented many design engineers from commuting to the Freiburg headquarters, the company faced the risk of halting time‑sensitive, graphically intensive IC development and missing R&D schedules unless it could deliver secure, high‑performance remote access.

Because TDK‑Micronas had already deployed OpenText Exceed TurboX, engineers could run applications on central servers with front‑end rendering over the network, take desktops home with encrypted drives and VPN access, and move remaining Linux workflows into the Windows/Exceed environment. The result was a seamless, secure transition to remote work with maintained or improved performance, uninterrupted innovation and project delivery, expanded use of Exceed TurboX across teams, and strengthened confidence in the OpenText partnership.
