A OpenText Case Study
SABMiller RUS, the Russian arm of global brewer SABMiller, faced rapidly growing document volumes across a widely distributed workforce, causing long paper-transport delays, document loss and manual searches. These bottlenecks stretched supplier invoice settlement times to months, increased costs and made it difficult to meet service and audit standards across its sites.
SABMiller implemented OpenText Document Access and archiving as part of a Single Financial Service Center to scan, attach and centrally manage accounting documents in SAP, adding barcode scanning and bulk-printing capabilities. The automated solution halved processing times, cut invoice settlement and document-processing tasks by up to 50%, reduced staff involved by 40% while handling about 7,000 document sets per month, and lowered costs while improving control and partner relationships.
