Reflection Desktop delivers stable host access environment for mission-critical solution

travianet GmbH, part of the FTI Group and a major European travel operator, relies on its in‑house Travel Information System (TIS) to support more than 600 agents and 10,000 travel partners. Growing user numbers exposed instability in the IBM iAccess terminal emulator, causing crashes that hurt agent productivity and customer service, so travianet needed a more reliable host access solution that preserved existing functionality.

After testing Micro Focus Reflection Desktop, travianet worked closely with Micro Focus Support and Development to migrate custom macros and replicate iAccess features using Reflection’s extensive .NET API. The transition was largely transparent to users, delivering much-improved stability and full system availability, enabling automation of data entry and better customer service while validating the investment.
