A OpenText Case Study

Preview of the Qlik Case Study

Qlik improves productivity and protects corporate data with OpenText Connected MX, which combines backup and recovery with file synchronization and sharing for endpoint devices

Qlik needed a better way to protect and manage employee data across a distributed workforce, especially as users worked from many devices and often relied on unmanaged consumer file-sharing tools. With OpenText, Qlik had already been using Connected Backup to enable automatic cloud backup and recovery, and it later upgraded to OpenText Connected MX to bring backup, recovery, sync, and sharing under one policy-driven solution.

OpenText Connected MX automated backups, enabled self-service file recovery, and gave IT stronger control over what users could sync and share. The results were significant: support tickets dropped from a few per week to zero, failed-device recovery time fell from 2–3 days to overnight, and backup times for traveling employees improved by 80% in low-bandwidth locations, from 5 hours to 15 minutes.
