A OpenText Case Study
PSCU, a leading U.S. credit union service organization serving 800+ credit unions and more than 18 million cardholders, faced chronic project budget overruns and weak governance. With $25–35 million spent on projects annually, tracking was fragmented across spreadsheets and multiple systems, invoices were manually routed (taking 7–14 days) and often lost, and executives lacked visibility into actuals versus plan.
PSCU implemented OpenText Assure on the MBPM platform to centralize and automate end-to-end project budget governance, integrating with Workday, Microsoft Project Server and accounts payable. The solution delivered full budget visibility and automated approvals, cut the number of apps in use, and produced measurable gains: roughly $7 million in annual cost avoidance, an estimated 25% reduction in cycle times and a 35% reduction in non‑value‑added manual activity, plus faster vendor payments and improved risk management.
