A OpenText Case Study
Phototype, a Cincinnati-based brand-building company founded in 1919, helps CPG clients create packaging graphics and high-end prepress work. Faced with recurring color and print-quality issues that were hard to trace across multiple printers—and an unwieldy Excel-based reporting process—Phototype needed a visually rich, searchable way to provide clients realtime, actionable visibility into their print supply chain.
Phototype built its BizIQ Print Quality Management system using OpenText Information Hub (iHub), delivering customizable, secure customer portals and graphical dashboards that integrate FileMaker, SQL/MySQL and other data sources. The solution was rolled out rapidly (team training and customer access within three months), and produced realtime brand and printing visibility, improved supplier-quality tracking, personalized logins with multitenant security, and strong client feedback that exceeded expectations.
