A OpenText Case Study
Philips Healthcare’s Radiation Oncology group, which delivers end-to-end cancer imaging and treatment-planning solutions, faced the challenge of connecting diverse systems and users across locations and operating systems while maintaining pixel-perfect medical images and strict patient-data security. Clinicians needed reliable remote access to multiple applications and centralized data so they could view, plan and deliver oncology treatments quickly and accurately from any workspace.
Philips deployed OpenText Exceed TurboX to provide web-based remote access to its IntelliSpace Radiation Oncology platform, enabling cross‑OS connectivity, high-quality remote graphics even over poor networks, and strong encryption and authentication with centralized application hosting. The solution tied together disparate systems, improved diagnostic confidence and treatment speed, and strengthened data protection—while creating a foundation for broader workflow and third‑party integrations.
