A OpenText Case Study
PBS, the nonprofit public broadcasting network that serves more than 350 member stations and reaches millions of viewers online and on TV, faced a rapidly changing media landscape with a growing volume of marketing, promotional and program content. The organization struggled with limited program sharing among stations and inefficient FTP-based content retrieval that offered no previews and often returned outdated files.
PBS implemented OpenText Media Management alongside OpenText Process Suite to orchestrate workflows and centralize its digital media supply chain. The solution enabled faster multi-platform delivery, faceted search tied to usage rights for quicker repurposing of content, BPM-driven broadcast and digital distribution, and access to archived assets measured in petabytes—saving time and improving content reuse across the network.
