A OpenText Case Study
Parentia, headquartered in Brussels, is Belgium’s largest child‑benefit service, paying monthly allowances to almost 700,000 children and managing means‑tested benefits for families and young adults up to age 24. Faced with roughly 300 document templates (about 900 including multiple languages), heavy manual template management and slow batch processes made it difficult to update communications quickly, comply with changing legislation and deliver timely information to families.
Parentia implemented OpenText Exstream and Exstream Empower Editor with OpenText Professional Services to centralize templates, automate review workflows and integrate with email and print channels. Metadata‑driven multilingual editing and browser‑based authoring cut batch generation from days to about 10 minutes (a >99% speedup), saved roughly 60 full‑time equivalent days per year, improved quality and compliance, and enabled rapid pandemic‑era communications while supporting plans to integrate with Salesforce.
