Plastipak, a global leader in rigid plastic containers with about 65 sites worldwide, faced rapidly growing and increasingly complex EDI transactions after acquisitions—volume rose from 15,000 to 60,000 documents and was expected to exceed 100,000. Plastipak moved B2B operations to OpenText B2B Managed Services, using a dedicated VPN into SAP, a cloud-based portal and streamlined onboarding for new trading partners. The change cut errors to under 3% (about 97% accuracy), delivered greater end‑to‑end visibility, produced almost no failures in month one and supported continued growth without hiring additional full‑time EDI staff.
