Pacific Blue Cross (PBC) is British Columbia’s leading benefits provider, serving about 1.5 million people. PBC’s New Group Setup process for employee benefit plans was paper‑heavy and fragmented across departments despite an existing Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), causing manual data entry, duplicated records, poor data quality and slow customer onboarding.

PBC implemented OpenText Cordys as a business integration and case management layer on top of their ESB—building a LINKS case solution that uses BPM, dynamic case management and Business Activity Monitoring. The platform automated taskforce workflows, created a single New Group master record, enabled rapid integration with Alfresco DMS, and delivered faster customer acquisition, higher data quality and consolidated real‑time monitoring.
