A US Department of Defense Contractor needed to prepare for Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) compliance while already struggling with audits, access reviews, and governance across critical financial applications and sensitive databases. The contractor chose OpenText, using NetIQ Identity Governance, to help address its identity governance and administration gaps and reduce the manual burden of managing access and compliance.

OpenText, working through partner TriVir, implemented NetIQ Identity Governance to automate onboarding and access reviews across enterprise systems, including Active Directory, the Identity Vault, over 200 databases, and CyberArk privileged access accounts. The solution streamlined governance, improved audit readiness, removed erroneous access, and advanced least-privilege security; the program was estimated to save more than 3,000 hours by eliminating manual sampling, spreadsheet reviews, and email follow-up, while helping the contractor move toward CMMC compliance.
