OpenText Web Site Management Helps Build a Flexible Web Platform for the Future

Northumbrian Water Group, a FTSE 250 UK water and wastewater services company, was operating multiple externally managed websites across its businesses, resulting in inconsistent branding, costly administration and slow content updates. With stakeholders increasingly expecting online services and regulator-driven targets for faster customer responses, the group needed a more unified, easy-to-manage web presence that non-technical staff could update quickly.

Working with design partner TH_NK and OpenText, Northumbrian Water implemented OpenText Web Site Management as a single CMS, consolidated hosting and trained staff to publish content and manage workflows. The redesigned sites went live in January 2007, delivering a modern, accessible platform with e-billing, area-based maintenance searches, online careers and improved security—positive feedback from staff and consumers and a flexible foundation for future enhancements.
