A OpenText Case Study
Cardlytics, founded in 2008 and based in Atlanta, Georgia, needed a new analytics platform to support its hyper-speed, targeted advertising and rewards business for financial institutions. The company evaluated several options, including OpenText, and selected the OpenText Vertica Analytics Platform to avoid proprietary hardware, gain a proof-of-concept environment, and achieve predictable scaling and speed.
With OpenText Vertica in place, Cardlytics expanded from a 10TB license to 250TB and from a 4-node cluster to 30 nodes. The platform cut operational support time by roughly 90%, reduced customer response time from one day to less than an hour, and accelerated typical query performance by 40-to-80x; Cardlytics also increased data ingestion from 200 million to 2 billion records per week, and says the investment paid for itself in about three months.
