Case Study: Hyatt Hotels Corporation achieves global brand consistency and increased productivity with OpenText

A OpenText Case Study

OpenText Provides Hyatt with a New Company-wide Intranet

Hyatt, a global hospitality company with 14 brands and more than 750 hotels in 55 countries, faced inconsistent web presence and poor internal communication across regional offices and franchises. Disparate sites, varied tools, slow updates (even mailing DVDs of brand standards) and siloed teams made it hard to enforce brand standards and connect corporate, regional and hotel colleagues.

In 2008 Hyatt launched Hyattconnect, an OpenText‑powered intranet using Content Management, Portal and Web Experience Management, providing single sign‑on, searchable content, mobile access and easy authoring for 200+ editors. The platform now serves ~115,000 employees, scaled from 10,000 to hundreds of thousands of content items and millions of monthly page views, delivering consistent branding, improved collaboration and productivity, and measurable cost savings from reduced third‑party sites.
