OpenText Network Detection & Response demonstrates seamless SIEM integration and improved visibility for faster incident response

Leading Healthcare Provider, a fast-growing healthcare organization with more than 75,000 employees, needed better visibility into its network traffic and faster incident response while also meeting strict data privacy and 30-day packet retention requirements. It turned to OpenText, working with Optiv, to evaluate Network Detection & Response (NDR) and related capabilities such as Smart PCAP for secure, compliant network metadata retention.

OpenText implemented NDR as a turnkey solution with required hardware and hands-on technical support for installation, deployment, and configuration, followed by seamless integration into the customer’s new SIEM. The result was real-time 360° visibility, faster security triage and threat hunting, and direct ingestion of NDR logs into the SIEM for correlated alerts. The solution also improved compliance support and scalability for future growth, with OpenText’s Smart PCAP reducing the amount of packet data retained while preserving the data needed for investigations.
