OpenText Migrate plays a key role in the success of DXC’s largest and most complex data center migration for Lloyd’s and the London insurance market

DXC Technology, the lead technology partner behind the London insurance market’s digital transformation, faced a massive data center migration challenge: moving 70 billion rows of data, 700 IT assets, and more than 200 business applications with minimal disruption. The project required a highly coordinated “big bang” cutover across production, disaster recovery, and test environments, where downtime, legacy risk, and auditability were critical concerns. DXC used OpenText’s Migrate solution, supported by OpenText’s team, to manage the complexity.

OpenText helped DXC complete the migration over a single weekend, consolidating the market’s operations into a more resilient, high-performance data center environment. The solution automated and streamlined much of the migration work, saving weeks of effort, enabling near-zero downtime, and delivering 100% accountability and auditability. With OpenText, DXC also improved performance, reduced legacy technology risk, and laid the foundation for a more cloud-ready, secure, and agile infrastructure.
