OpenText InfoFusion Integration Center relocates Canadian environmental agency’s document library to support information management initiative

The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency (CEAA), a federal body responsible for environmental assessments, needed to move its document repository from OpenText eDOCS DM to the OpenText Document Management solution to support a long-term information management vision. The agency faced a small IT team, a requirement to complete the migration in a single bulk transfer, and the need to preserve permissions, metadata and content integrity while minimizing downtime.

CEAA used OpenText InfoFusion Integration Center for Content Migration with support from OpenText Consulting Services to automate the transfer of roughly 20,000 documents over a single weekend. The migration preserved access rights, metadata and audit trails, required minimal downtime, and enabled CEAA to proceed with phased rollouts and new information management policies, advancing its long-term goals.
