A OpenText Case Study
LUKOIL Overseas Holding, the international project operator for LUKOIL with a corporate center in Moscow and subsidiaries across 16 countries, was managing multiple large, geographically dispersed oil and gas construction projects and receiving vast volumes of technical documentation from EPC contractors. Its existing processes could not efficiently capture, classify, coordinate or trace document change history, creating bottlenecks, poor access and limited collaboration across remote teams.
To address this, LUKOIL extended its OpenText content platform—adding OpenText Content Server, Transmittal Management and the Brava! viewer—integrated with SAP and implemented with Parma‑Telecom and OpenText expertise. The centralized system automated contractor transmittals, provided full version history, task tracking and file commenting, and was piloted at West Qurna‑2; deployed across more than 1,500 users it improved review times and collaboration, ensured structured long‑term storage and traceability, and set the stage for further integration with Primavera, SAP PM and other systems.
