A OpenText Case Study
ASR Nederland, the third-largest insurer in the Netherlands, faced a paper-driven disability income claims process that mixed medical and technical records in the same folders and allowed access by unqualified staff, creating privacy non‑compliance. The company also struggled with a complex, inflexible IT landscape, growing storage needs, limited process visibility and slow time-to-market for product changes.
ASR implemented OpenText Cordys to centralize information, enforce role-based access (separating medical and technical data), and add BPM/BAM for transparency, benchmarking and integration with partners. The platform delivered over 80% Straight Through Processing, cut the claims team from 80 to 60 FTE (about a 25% reduction), lowered storage and indemnity costs, improved efficiency and enabled faster delivery of new products.
