OpenText Alloy for Healthcare provides interoperability to rural hospitals and small clinics as the backbone for HI-BRIDGE Health Information Exchange (HIE)

HI-BRIDGE Solutions (HBS) provides an affordable statewide health information exchange (HIE) focused on rural hospitals and small independent practices that often face limited IT budgets, expertise and siloed EHR systems. To launch its HIE initiative, HBS needed a low‑cost, easy‑to‑adopt platform that would level the playing field and connect disparate points of care.

HBS implemented the cloud‑based OpenText Alloy for Healthcare as the HIE backbone to aggregate patient records via a web portal, integrate labs and radiology with diverse—or no—EHRs, and enable bidirectional exchange with Georgia’s GaHIN. The solution increased interoperability and provider adoption, improved point‑of‑care access to comprehensive medical histories, reduced duplication and cost of care, and supported regulatory compliance and measurable ROI for small and rural providers.
