Sun TV Network Ltd., one of India’s largest broadcasters with 33 TV channels and global reach, faced rapid SAP ECC database growth and an accumulation of open transaction documents that degraded application performance, increased storage and administration costs, and complicated compliance and maintenance windows.

Sun TV implemented OpenText Archiving for SAP and OpenText Document Access, with Avaali as implementation partner, to analyze and archive historic data. By archiving three years of records to an external OpenText Archive Server while preserving online access via SAP screens, they eliminated open transactions, reduced database size, improved transaction processing and performance, and lowered storage and system administration costs.
