Hunt LNG, part of the Hunt Oil Company and operator of the PERU LNG project, faced a major information-management challenge: millions of documents stored across multiple, disconnected repositories made it difficult to find, control and link content to SAP-driven business processes. Decentralized storage, duplicated or obsolete files and unreliable versioning hindered operational efficiency, contract workflows and audit readiness.

Hunt LNG deployed OpenText Extended ECM for SAP Solutions and OpenText Content Suite to create a single, SAP-integrated content repository and migrated documents from five systems into Content Suite. The implementation delivered faster, more reliable access and version control, better auditability and smoother contract processes (including a new Contract Log and GIS integration), enabled offline editing resilience, and cut storage by cleansing about 1.5 million duplicate/obsolete files (from 4.5M to ~3M), with users now averaging 13,000 daily system actions.
