OCHIN optimizes patient information exchange with secure, centralized and integrated fax solution

OCHIN is a national nonprofit health IT organization that supports more than 500 community health centers, 10,000 clinicians and some 37 million patients, primarily serving safety-net providers with thin margins. Its members relied on manual, disjointed faxing—creating inefficiencies, rising costs and security/compliance risks—and needed a secure, centralized solution that would integrate with existing EHRs like Epic and NextGen.

OCHIN deployed OpenText RightFax with RightFax Connect, a hybrid on‑premises/cloud fax solution that automates fax delivery into EHRs and removes telephone line bottlenecks. The deployment delivered faster, more reliable faxing, stronger audit trails for HIPAA compliance, reduced labor and materials costs, seamless EHR integration and freed clinic resources to focus on patient care.
