NHBC Builds Streamlined Analytics and Report Portal with OpenText

NHBC, the UK’s leading warranty and insurance provider for new homes, needed to replace a time-consuming, manual reporting process—built from monthly data snapshots, Excel manipulation and printed PDFs—that took days to produce and was costly to distribute. The organisation wanted a standardized, web-based, self-service “My Reports” portal so house builders of all sizes could access up-to-date performance and defect data on demand.

NHBC implemented OpenText Analytics with OpenText Professional Services to embed interactive BI into a My Reports portal. The result: more than 1,400 regular users across 400+ organisations can now “slice and dice” data, NHBC eliminated paper reports (saving ~18 man‑weeks/year and about £20,000 in printing), cut reporting effort by 50–60%, reduced support calls and enabled top UK builders to access timely insights—with plans to expand bespoke reporting and internal use.
