A OpenText Case Study
New York State Homes and Community Renewal (NYS HCR), which oversees the state’s major housing and community renewal agencies, faced slow, paper-driven operations and fragmented information silos that made documents hard to find and processes inefficient. The agency sought a central, secure repository and better workflows to reduce time spent managing documents and projects, improve productivity, and streamline business processes.
NYS HCR implemented OpenText Content Server, scanning records into a central repository and rolling out automated workflows to replace manual, paper-based tasks. The solution delivered faster access to up-to-date information, improved disaster recovery and collaboration, reduced paperwork and costs, and sped grant approvals by more than eight weeks; the system now supports hundreds of users and has raised overall service efficiency.
