Lantmäteriet needed a more structured identity and access management approach across a complex mix of mainframe, Windows, Linux, UNIX, and custom in-house applications. After reviewing vendors, it chose OpenText’s NetIQ Identity Manager and related identity and access products to unify access management and support real-time synchronization across systems.

OpenText implemented a consolidated identity and access solution that included NetIQ Identity Manager, Access Manager, Sentinel, Change Guardian, Self Service Password Reset, and other tools. The result was effective user provisioning and single sign-on, with new employees getting basic system access from day one and more complex access within five days. Lantmäteriet also resolved 98.5% of identity and access issues within two days, while reducing helpdesk burden and improving security and productivity.
