Medica, a fast-growing healthcare organization, needed a better way to manage identity, access, and compliance across its workforce and member-facing applications. Working with OpenText, Medica used Identity Manager and Access Manager to streamline onboarding, enable single sign-on for dozens of applications, and replace slow, manual access reviews with a more automated process.

OpenText implemented Identity Governance to support Medica’s access certification and audit process, with integration to HR systems and ServiceNow for fulfillment. The results were significant: Medica completed its first audit in just 13 business days, identified 268 access removals, achieved near-complete manager coverage, and reduced a task that previously took IT Security 6–8 weeks, improving both productivity and compliance.
