NetIQ containerization smooths the path to an Azure cloud environment to deliver an innovative retail experience

Elkjøp Nordic AS, the largest consumer electronics retailer in the Nordics (422 stores and 12,000+ employees), needed to maintain robust identity and access management during high staff turnover and a major digital transformation to move core systems to Azure. The challenge was to support up to 12,000 annual onboarding, offboarding and role changes, preserve audit traceability and existing NetIQ processes, and ensure developers and staff had rapid access to the tools they needed as the business modernized.

Elkjøp implemented NetIQ Identity Manager, eDirectory and self-service tools, using NetIQ’s containerized solutions on Azure Kubernetes Service with infrastructure-as-code to automate end-to-end provisioning, role management and developer access. The approach delivered lifecycle management for over 14,000 identities, 250 live integrations and 200+ drivers in production, faster developer onboarding, stronger audit traceability, smooth Azure migration, and scalable, cost-effective infrastructure.
