National television station chooses Micro Focus Content Manager to protect historic archive.

Croatian Radiotelevision (HRT), the national broadcaster with around 3,000 employees and a historic archive including more than 350,000 videotapes, found its legacy records system limited producers’ ability to find audio, video and newspaper content quickly and lacked robust auditing and governance. Reliant on 10 custom applications tied to an older Meridio system, HRT also faced inefficiencies in administration, invoicing and legal workflows and wanted a migration that wouldn’t require extensive retraining.

With BCC Services, HRT migrated more than 2.5 million records to Micro Focus Content Manager and integrated it with existing apps via .NET APIs and web services, completing the rollout with minimal disruption. The new platform delivers advanced metadata and full‑content search, quick previews, mobile access, caching for faster retrieval, stronger auditing and security, and improved invoice and contract tracking—while opening the door to unified search and AI-driven indexing through the Micro Focus IDOL engine.
