MSD Wayne eases communication within school community

The Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township is one of Indiana’s largest districts, serving more than 16,000 K–12 students across 21 campuses where families speak about 80 languages. The district needed a modern, highly available communications system that could handle over 60,000 monthly calls, integrate with existing Cisco telephony and Google services, support mobility and multilingual automated attendants, and securely transfer large volumes of FERPA-protected documents.

Working with ConvergeOne and OpenText Professional Services, MSD Wayne deployed OpenText CX-E Voice and XM Fax with geo-redundant Neverfail architecture, mobile clients, a bilingual automated attendant, and secure fax-over-IP integrated with Gmail. The rollout was completed ahead of schedule, improving anytime/anywhere access, enabling secure document transfer, streamlining multilingual communication, and helping teachers respond to parents twice as fast.
