Mondi Wrap Up Their Vendor Invoice Processing with OpenText

Mondi Group, a global paper and packaging manufacturer with operations in 30 countries, faced an inefficient, paper-heavy vendor invoice process at its South Africa division that handled about 120,000 invoices a year. Manual, distributed workflows made invoice tracking slow, increased costs, delayed payments and risked non‑compliance with South African Revenue Service (SARS) requirements for supplier data checks.

Working with Datacentrix, Mondi implemented OpenText Vendor Invoice Management and Archive Server integrated with SAP, completing rollout in 11 weeks. Automated capture, data extraction and matching gave staff SAP‑embedded access to invoice images and details, halving processing time, enabling the same invoice volume with roughly half the team, improving SARS compliance, capturing early‑payment discounts, reducing costs and delivering a projected payback in about 15 months.
