A OpenText Case Study
Miller-Valentine Group, a national commercial and residential real estate company, struggled to give the business an accurate view of IT spend and to demonstrate ROI under a traditional head-count budget model. Leadership needed to move to a paid-for service delivery approach so that hidden IT support costs would become visible and business units could justify technology investments.
Partnering with OpenText and its Assure⢠BPM-based IT service management solution, Miller-Valentine implemented a subscription chargeback model that funds IT by services rather than an annual budget. The new model aligned business processes with service-desk delivery, exposed cost-saving opportunities, enforced best-practice IT asset management, and enabled the company to demonstrate ROI and mature its services model.
