Enseval Putera Megatrading Tbk., Indonesia’s leading integrated distribution and logistics company for pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, faced runaway data growth from its Oracle E-Business Suite—an 18 TB database growing 300–400 GB per month across 5,000 employees and 46 branches. The ballooning data footprint caused soaring storage and manpower costs, long backup and batch windows (full backups took 2–3 days, BI batches ran overnight), and growing security and performance risks that threatened business responsiveness.
After a four-month deployment of Micro Focus Structured Data Manager, Enseval implemented transparent retention policies and automated archiving for key EBS modules, reducing the database by several terabytes and cutting growth to nearly zero. Backups now complete in a single day, batch jobs run in 2–3 hours, test cloning and replication are much faster, and overall costs and administrative effort have fallen—delivering a leaner, more responsive IT environment and improved regional operations.
