Micro Focus ALM Octane supports move to agile development practices for faster and more streamlined innovative service delivery

Sunrise Communications Group, Switzerland’s largest non-state telecommunications provider, needed to streamline development across distributed on-site and offshore teams while shifting from a hybrid waterfall/agile model to SAFe-driven agile practices. The challenge was to improve collaboration, transparency and delivery speed while migrating a large application lifecycle ecosystem (ALM/Quality Center, Confluence, JIRA) and training 1,000+ users without disrupting ongoing releases.

Sunrise adopted Micro Focus ALM Octane with Connect Core, running the old and new systems in parallel to clean and migrate about 3,000 active test scripts and complete defect, requirements and test-module migration in two months. Integrated with Confluence, JIRA, Jenkins and LDAP, the solution delivered greater alignment and visibility, faster and more predictable releases, improved defect tracking via dashboards, streamlined workflows and positive user feedback, with plans to expand ALM Octane across all agile teams.
