The Major Australian Port Authority wanted to make it easier for employees to save and find business records in familiar systems like Microsoft SharePoint and network drives, while also reducing the risk of records being missed and creating compliance issues. It worked with OpenText, alongside partner Miktysh, and used the Content Manager Governance and Compliance SharePoint App to address the challenge.

OpenText’s solution automatically created records in Content Manager from SharePoint, enabled single-search access across SharePoint, network drives, and Content Manager, and preserved records for compliance even if users deleted files elsewhere. The result was faster records retrieval, lower noncompliance risk, improved collaboration, and reduced redundant data, with the CIO noting that everything was captured correctly and with minimum fuss.
