A OpenText Case Study
LMU Munich needed a secure way to provide students and staff with seamless access to learning resources and other systems across faculties and external institutions, while keeping administrative effort and security risks under control. Using OpenText Identity Manager, the university worked with its IT service provider and implementation partners to simplify identity provisioning, access control, and monitoring.
OpenText implemented Identity Manager integrated with LMU’s existing administration, HR, directory, and virtual desktop systems to automate account creation and access-rights management. The result was round-the-clock availability with no maintenance windows, faster one-time registration for users, reduced staff workload, and improved security oversight. LMU Munich reported excellent performance, easy maintenance, and a smoother user experience across multiple access points.
