A OpenText Case Study
Legal Aid Western Australia, the state’s largest provider of legal aid with nearly 400 lawyers and support staff across 10 offices, needed to modernize how it handled highly sensitive client correspondence and case files. Its legacy content system relied on hard-copy workflows, duplicated and scattered electronic information, limited collaboration and integration, and struggled to support remote and regional service delivery—issues that hindered compliance and efficient client service.
Working with Hayes Information Systems, Legal Aid WA implemented the OpenText Extended ECM Platform to create a secure, integrated single source of truth. The team migrated 15 million documents, rolled out an intuitive web interface with minimal training, integrated content with core business applications, expanded access to staff, and positioned the organization for cloud-based digital transformation—improving information flow, collaboration, and the delivery of client services.
