A OpenText Case Study
A leading European bank serving retail, private and corporate clients needed to streamline development and testing across its multichannel services. Testing teams were heavily dependent on the costly SWIFT network (about €0.20 per transaction and ~6,500 messages/month), which increased complexity and slowed continuous integration and delivery while inflating testing costs.
Using OpenText Service Virtualization the bank created 150+ virtual services to simulate SWIFT, REST backends and legacy systems like IBM IMS, allowing teams to test independently, deploy services faster and model performance scenarios. Results included 30% more defects detected earlier, quicker identification of performance bottlenecks, improved CI/CD, a dedicated virtualization team for easy reuse, and substantial annual cost savings.
