A OpenText Case Study
KPN, the Dutch telecommunications provider serving millions of fixed-line and mobile customers, faced a growing challenge managing high volumes of customer communications—more than 1.8 million letters and 1.5 million emails annually for its fixed-line business. The company needed to cut IT costs and dramatically shorten the time required to implement or update standard output templates without disrupting customer service.
Working with Accenture and OpenText, KPN upgraded its OpenText Exstream platform and added StreamServe Composition Center, reusing existing templates and shifting control of content and business rules to business users. The change eliminated much of the need for developer-led code changes, delivered real-time, WYSIWYG deployments, centralized template management and archiving, and reduced IT development costs by as much as 60% while improving agility and consistency across teams.
