KHS GmbH, a Dortmund‑based global manufacturer of bottling and packaging systems with over 4,500 employees and more than €1 billion in revenue, faced a slow, document‑heavy sales process that spans months and involves customers, suppliers and multiple internal teams. With some 7 million documents (3.7 TB in the sales archive) and sales workflows managed in SAP CRM, KHS needed a process‑oriented, SAP‑integrated content platform to centralize files, speed access and simplify collaboration.

KHS implemented OpenText Extended ECM for SAP Solutions in about four months, linking document repositories directly into SAP transactions.
