Kativik Regional Government provides life-sustaining services to isolated villages

Kativik Regional Government (KRG) delivers essential municipal services to about 14,000 residents across 14 remote Inuit villages in Nunavik, Quebec. Faced with vast distances, tight deadlines and a multilingual audience — primarily Inuktitut, plus French and English — KRG needed reliable, culturally accurate translations that preserved precise government vocabulary and could feed Inuktitut translators who work from English sources.

After an open tender KRG selected OpenText Translation and Localization Services, which provided a consistent team of government-experienced translators, fast turnarounds and global/local cultural awareness. The partnership delivered timely, accurate multilingual content, improved service to residents, scalable support for expanding communications, and lower overall costs.
