A OpenText Case Study
Kāpiti Coast District Council, which serves more than 50,000 residents and about 330 staff on New Zealand’s Kāpiti Coast, faced fragmented, paper-based records and dispersed file shares that produced multiple document copies, hindered collaboration and made compliance with public records requirements difficult.
Working with Techtonics and ATOS, the Council implemented OpenText Content Suite 16 (with Enterprise Connect), migrating roughly 500,000 documents and attaching metadata to about 24,000 property records to create a single, branded repository (“ED”). The unified, user-friendly system streamlined processes, improved collaboration and productivity, enabled self-service for staff and future citizen access via the My Kāpiti Portal, and set the stage for workflow automation.
