Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited (KPTL), a global leader in power transmission and infrastructure, faced a fragmented, manually intensive Accounts Payable process spread across 150+ site offices in India and operations in over 30 countries. Decentralized invoice handling, physical paperwork, lack of SAP integration and non-standard approval rules made tracking liabilities, audits and timely processing difficult.

KPTL partnered with Avaali to deploy OpenText Vendor Invoice Management for SAP Solutions, OpenText Invoice Capture Center and OpenText Archive Server across key locations, digitizing invoice capture, enforcing system-driven business rules and linking documents to SAP. The rollout (50 locations in two months) delivered a 40% reduction in invoice cycle time, centralized verification and processing, improved GST compliance, real-time analytics and secure archived invoices—creating a consolidated, 360-degree view of invoice operations and paving the way to a centralized AP model.
