IT specialist prepares for service innovation by replacing paper processes with secure, scalable and future-ready digital workflows, powered by OpenText Extended ECM Platform

Egypt MCIT faced slow, costly paper-based service requests that made it harder to improve responsiveness, manage data, and support Egypt’s e-government transformation. To replace manual forms and enable digital workflows, the ministry turned to OpenText, working with ASSET and OpenText Extended ECM Platform, plus OpenText AppWorks for automation.

OpenText and ASSET implemented a centralized, secure, scalable document management platform with digital capture, correspondence management, standardized workflows, advanced search, and a unified taxonomy for 100+ document types. The solution now lets MCIT manage both paper and digital documents in one system, improve access control and compliance, and create a foundation for whole-of-government services; it also supports rapid, cost-effective digitization of archived documents and is intended to scale across Egyptian government ministries.
