IT and business collaboration creates NetIQ Identity Manager-driven processes to simplify lifecycle tracking and improve security

Kiabi needed a simpler way to manage identities as it expanded internationally and supported more than 10,000 users across employees, franchise holders, and external partners. The company had about 200 applications and 1,000 access roles to govern, and wanted to automate both role-based and request-based access workflows. Kiabi worked with OpenText and its Identity Manager solution to replace manual identity processes and reduce complexity.

OpenText implemented automated workflows for account creation, access requests, password resets, and temporary-worker provisioning, supported by internal training and change management. The result was a 65% decrease in low-value support tickets within the first quarter, along with fewer redundant accounts, improved security through two-step provisioning and unique passwords, and lower support costs for Kiabi.
